MXL USB-77 Cardioid Condenser Studio USB Microphone Introduced With Classic Design
According to MXL, the new USB-77 microphone serves up all the conveniences of USB technology with the aesthetic style that has been missing from other USB microphones.
Designed specifically for recording directly to a desktop or laptop with major programs like Steinberg Cubase, MOTU Digital Performer, Apple Logic, Apple GarageBand, Skype, and Reaper, the USB- 77 is a professional, CD-level quality, cardioid condenser studio mic that's made of modern components but has the look and feel of a 1940s-era ribbon mic.
Its main features include a gold-sputtered diaphragm, a large 32 mm capsule, an analog gain control dial, and a 1/8-inch stereo headphone jack. As a USB device, the microphone interfaces with PCs and Macs without the need for any special drivers, and it doesn't require an external microphone preamp like most cardioid condenser mics do. The USB-77 will ship with a carrying case, desktop microphone stand and mounting ring, USB cable, and cleaning cloth.
Pricing and availability will be announced at a later time. For more information, please visit mxlmics.com.
