Marshall Electronics MXL V67Q Stereo Microphone Announced
MXL, a division of Marshall Electronics, has announced the V67Q stereo condenser microphone. The V67Q is the most recent member of the V67 series, and its ideal applications include use in recording live performances, capturing room sound, or use as an overhead mic for studio recording.
The MXL V67Q is equipped with two 22m capsules with gold sputtered diaphragms. They are aligned in a 90-degree XY pattern. The mic is wired inside with Mogami cable for high quality signal transfer, and produces a frequency response from 30Hz-20kHz. Furthermore, the V67Q has two separate left and right signal paths to cut down on crosstalk.
In terms of appearance, the V67Q fits right in with the rest of the series with a green body and gold head grille that protects the capsules from wind noise and plosives for the warmest sound it can produce.
The microphone is expected out late in 2007, and it comes with a protective pouch, a breakout cable, and a mic clip.
