October 11, 2009
Mytek Digital Stereo 192 DAC is a 192 kHz PCM and DSD digital-to-analog converter.

At the 127th AES Convention, NYC-based manufacturer Mytek Digital announced from its home base the new Stereo 192 DAC, a 192 kHz PCM and DSD digital-to-analog converter.

According to Mytek, the converter is capable of handling stereo PCM playback of up to 24-bit, 192 kHz and playback of DSD files with accuracy and transparency. With USB and FireWire connectivity and standard AES, S/PDIF, and Toslink inputs, the DAC is well-equipped to connect to everything in your studio. Moreover, the DAC offers a headphone amplifier, precision volume control with memory (separate for phones and main output), selectable upsampling to 192 kHz, and an optional remote control.

The DAC will ship next year, in the first quarter of 2010.
