Native Instruments Session Strings Pro Instrument And Library Announced
If you liked Native Instruments' previously released Session Strings, you will likely like the new Native Instruments Session Strings Pro sample-based instrument and library.
Way larger than the original Session Strings and with a significantly more robust string section, Session Strings Pro provides an 11-piece ensemble that was recorded in four different settings to produce flexible, versatile sounds for modern pop and R&B tracks. According to Native Instruments, the Session Strings Pro's fluid, uniquely musical workflow makes Session Strings Pro a truly playable instrument, and much more than just a string library.
A detailed instrument for contemporary studio strings, Session Strings Pro lets you combine up to 4 ensembles -- each with 4 violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos, and 2 basses -- as well as play up to 4 full 11-piece ensembles or individual instrument groups, create rhythmic phrases, and more.
Main features and ways to use Session Strings Pro:
- Combine up to 4 ensembles, each with 4 violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos, and 2 basses
- Play up to 4 full 11-piece ensembles or individual instrument groups
- Choose between contemporary and classical instrument placement
- Create instant rhythmical phrases with the fully-customizable Animator
- Musical workflows, streamlined for performance and production
- 22 Articulations, 4 Velocity layers, all within a single interface
- Additional presets for the sound of vintage soul and disco
- Unique Bow Noise control
- 48 GB of string samples (32 GB compressed)
Session Strings Pro requires that you have the free Kontakt 4 Player or the full version of Kontakt 4, version 4.2 or higher. Native Instruments plans on making Session Strings Pro available on June 1, 2011 at local dealers and at the NI Online Shop. Until then, you can pre-order the full version for $339 or pre-order an upgrade from the original Session Strings for $229.
