Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4 Pro: The Ampire Strikes Back With The Perfect Custom Tone
Guitar Rig has proven itself to be one of the foremost guitar and bass software amp and plugin suites in the market, having won awards and garnering critical acclaim from both users and reviewers. As fast as the development process proceeds in terms of these kinds of software, more and more releases from different developers pose a threat to a lead exhibited by Guitar Rig. As such, the "ampire" is retaliating hard to plant itself firmly into software guitar amp dominance with Guitar Rig 4.
Guitar Rig 4 now has what is called the "control room" -- a new module akin to a live audio console mixer. The control room takes control of eight virtual microphones strategically positioned around your virtual amp, each mic being controlled by its own fader/slider and pan knob; this facilitates the creation of your very own guitar sound. Two new amps are included in this new version, the Jump and Hot Plex, that bridge the gap between vintage and modern. New effects units in the package are called Iceverb, Grainverb, Octaverb, and Twin Delay.
Getting you started provides a lot of options as there are over 250 new high-class presets. Other improvements are faster workflow with component presets, better handling of external controllers, improved range and quality for time- and pitch-based effects, and true stereo processing.
Native Instruments Guitar Rig 4 Pro will be available starting October 1, 2009. Native Instruments, however, is now accepting pre-orders for both full version and upgrade versions. The full version costs 199.00 USD while the upgrade from older versions is priced at 79.00 USD.
