The Maschine library offered an impressive array of drum kits designed for the electronic music producer. Out of this impressive collection, Native Instruments decided to create a compilation of what they thought were the best sounds from Maschine, for the newly released free Kontakt Player. The result of this effort is Native Instruments Maschine Drum Selection.

Maschine Drum Selection is one of the new instruments designed for use with Kontakt Player. Containing a total of 20 full kits that feature sounds from heavily processed acoustic kits, vintage analog samples, and vinyl dubplates; Maschine Drum Selection provides a diverse palette for modern club and electronic styles. Each kit contains 16 of these sounds and can be processed further via tuning, filter, saturation, and other effects.

This instrument also includes a step sequencer that can be accessed directly from Kontakt Player's interface. Volume and tuning settings in the step sequencer can be modified to make changes in sound and feel.
