Native Instruments-Scarbee Partnership: Scarcity Of Newer Softsynths Will Become A Thing Of The Past
Native Instruments (NI) has just forged a new partnership with Scarbee, creatlor of renowned music instrument libraries, with the object of bringing Thomas Hansen Skarbye's sampling genius into Kontakt-based instruments. In effect, existing Scarbee products will be relaunched as self-contained instruments that will be distributed and maintained by NI.
Scarbee's instruments have been much loved by producers and musicians. Example of these include the electric piano and electric bass libraries. Mr. Skarbye has been very much happy about this new partnership as he had stated that this new alliance allows him to focus on what he does best. The relaunch of the Scarbee titles by NI is expected to take place in the next 9 months or so after this announcement.
It is important to note, however, that all current and future Scarbee customers will be offered free updates, inclusive of all graphic and feature additions and changes. Within the 9-month period between announcement and relauch, this guarantees that the said customers will he able to buy safely from Scarbee.
Expressing delight in the partnership, Mr. Skarbye said,
"I'm very happy to announce this new adventure for Scarbee. In the last year I've been looking for a way to be able to focus more on creating sounds for you and do less of the business part and with the new partnership with Native Instruments I have found the perfect solution."
"Not only will I now spend all my time on the stuff that I'm best at - I'm also receiving a lot of inspiration and valuable advice from all of my new colleages and friends at NI."
These new changes are expected to bring forth more accessible instruments from NI that emphasize that much-needed sound quality that Scarbee has been known for.
