Native Instruments Twitter-Enabled TRAKTOR PRO: Popular DJ Setup Gets All Up In Your Facebook
DJs have long been in the know about Native Instruments TRAKTOR, but thanks to Richie Hawtin, the DJ setup is now socially networked. He's using a Twitter-enabled TRAKTOR setup that displays set tracklists online in realtime.
This setup is made possible by a custom Twitter application from Hatwin's label, Minus. It uploads the song metadata feed to Twitter through an Internet Broadcasting ability available in TRAKTOR PRO. Track details are automatically updated to Richie Hawtin's Twitter channel every 30 seconds, so you can follow his setlists from the comfort of your computer chair, even if you can't trot around the globe to follow his sets live.
You can follow Richie Hawtin's Twitter channel here.
If you're more interested in how to use this feature yourself, it's coming soon. In addition to this Twitter functionality, a whole slew of improvements inspired by collaborating with Minus will be available through the version 1.2 software update.
