Native Instruments Vintage Organs: Five Sampled Tone-Wheel And Combo Organs
Rounding out the set of Komplete Effects and Instruments released by Native Instruments this week, the new Vintage Organs Komplete Instrument offers classic sounds from the likes of tone-wheel and combo organs of the 1960s and 1970s.
Vintage Organs offers the sounds of five legendary vintage organs, each preserved with their authentic character and charm, plus 100 presets (20 per organ). This sampled instrument includes the sounds of the Hammond B-3, Hammond C-3, Hammond M-3, the Vox Continental II, and the Farfisa Compact.
The Hammond B-3, which Native Instruments calls one of the most renowned drawbar organs of all time, has of course, a classic, distinctive drawbar organ sound. Likewise, the Hammond C-3 is a variation of the B-3; the model sampled for this instrument features subtle tonal differences from the B3. The Hammond M-3, also known as the Baby B-3, is a living room model with a smaller tonal range and no foldback, slightly lighter in sound with less body. Next, the Continental II, a classic transistor / combo organ, has a cleaner and more stable tone than that of the Hammond range. The Farfisa Compact, orriginally a stripped down answer to the Vox Continental, has a simple and classic sound.
Recorded from the original instruments by Native Instruments, Vintage Organs also features exclusive Organ and Amp pages that provide full control over sound through drawbars, percussion, chorus / vibrato, overdrive, rotary effect, envelopes, EQ, and reverb.
