Notion Music Progression Is So Versatile It Might Actually Convince Guitarists To Read Music
Notion Music's Daniel Fisher already took you through the basics of Notion Music Progression. Now, he shows us how the guitar notation program goes above and beyond the call of duty.
You can tonally twist up the playback of your composition by switching effects and even individual tubes to control the playback sound. It gets even better now that our BFFs at IK Multimedia lent compatibility of their Amplitube software to Progression in order to throw in even more virtual effects.
DANIEL FISHER: Also with this, we have dynamic levels. You can change chords. We actually have an integrated chord library like I had mentioned before where you can click on the chord library, place it above here anywhere that you want...,

...now you got the C chord here and of course you have all the different types of chords that you can pick and choose from. You can change it from minor to major to seventh, ninths, pick and choose anything that you want out of this.
We also have a special effects bar where you can open it up and you can change your amps around, where you can change the special effects, what kind of speakers that you want, what type of tubes that you’d like to have in your amplifier, meaning that you can click on these buttons here and you can actually change out the tube. You can actually change the different way that the sounds are created within the amplifier.

Let me just close that up. And again, like I said before, we also have the capability of using Amplitube, which is really neat. You can click on this and now you can actually create your own pedals that you want on this and create your wah wah or overdrive. You can actually get in here and change the way that the simulator is taken care of so far as the speakers, again with the amps that’s using the Amplitube line.
And as you can see here with the active fretboard, you can actually go in here and change anything that you want, and by placing the notes on the fretboard.

See here if I can change this out a little bit and create a different sound. So, if I wanted to use this chord right where I left off, I just hit enter. In simplest terms, this is the most creative software that you can have for guitar right now.
MSRP, manufacturer’s sales -- manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $149. MAP pricing and street pricing is $99, very good bargain and very good value for what you can do with this. Again, there’s no other product out there on the market today that has everything that we have in Progression.
