Version 3.3 of Novation Automap has been released, updating the mapping software with support for Apple Logic Pro 9, Digidesign Pro Tools, and Novation controller hardware.

Automap enables Novation MIDI control surfaces to integrate smoothly with DAWs, and the 3.3 revision takes that integration further by fully supporting Native plugins and software instruments from Logic and Pro Tools. Automap 3.3 is also the first DAW software to support the new Novation Launchpad controller.

Logic 9 already has built-in Automap technology, which makes for easy interfacing between the software and Novation controllers (the Launchpad, Nocturn, and ZeRO SL MkII control surfaces; and the SL MkII, ReMOTE SL, and Nocturn Keyboards). The initial device mappings are bundled with the Automap 3.3 installer, with more to follow in later Automap updates.

The 3.3 revision also offers new Pro Tools mappings for the Nocturn keyboard, added sensitivity to the Nocturn drum pads, various Pro Tools bug fixes, and default HUI mappings for the Apple iPhone. For more details, visit Novation's Web site.
