Now shipping, the Numark CDN88 Pro is the company's latest fully featured rackmount CD player to hit the shelves, er, rack.

A high-performance CD player, the dual-deck CDN88 Pro plays traditional CDs, CD-Rs, and MP3 CDs. The unit also offers DJ capabilities not seen on many other rackmount players, according to Numark. With the CDN88 Pro, DJs can scratch in real-time using the unit's dual jog wheels and create two different seamless loops, including three hot-stutter starts on each deck for extensive creative capability. Nine DSP effects with direct access (Flanger, Phaser, Filter, Echo, Chop, Reverse, Pan, Reverse, and Bleep) also allow DJs to really "perform" with their CD player. Users can layer multiple effects for even more possibilities.

In addition, the CDN88 Pro sports Numark’s Key Lock feature -- one that is similar to Master Tempo but with more flexibility -- which enables DJs to speed up or slow down the music by up to 100 percent without changing the pitch. Numark's other trick up the sleeve feature, Beatkeeper, aids in visual beat matching so that CDN88 Pro users can spend less time in headphones and more time creating just the right party or event soundtrack. The new rackmount CD player also contains a 48-second buffer, for skip-free music performance.
