Numark iDJ Live Controller For Algoriddim And iOS Devices
The theme of this most recent NAMM show? We're going with: the huge iPad touch screen is pretty nice, but it doesn't cut it for live performance. For example: the Numark iDJ Live controller. The Algoriddim DJ App is already a pretty popular one on the iTunes App Store, but add the Numark iDJ Live controller and you've got yourself a legitimate iPad DJ station.
Numark's Chris Roman gave us a demonstration of the iDJ Live controller's tactile functions and responsiveness. The controller connects via the iPad's dock port and communicates using the newly implemented CoreMIDI for iOS devices protocol. The iDJ Live even comes with a stand for your tablet. How thoughtful!

iPad specific hardware for one app?
I seriously don't think that buying hardware specific for the iPad for this one app is the way to go.
I take it that you didn't see that there was this other company Quixpin that let you use any MIDI controller with their app. Check their video on YouTube. I'd much rather use the hardware I already have than spend money on something I can only use with the iPad.
