The iconic status of the turntable spinning a vinyl being further manipulated by a DJ is unmatched. The thing is some DJs are either unwilling to scratch their precious vinyl collections, just couldn't find a suitable vinyl for a particular gig or mix, or would prefer to have their own digitally rendered audio files to work on. Though nothing new in terms of concept and availability, this next Summer NAMM 2009 showcased product will sure catch on to DJs in need of either CD or CD/MP3/USB tabletop players with scratch capabilities. The Numark NDX200 and NDX400 hits the trade show scene to offer DJs a new set of tools for great mixes.

The NDX200 is a scratch CD player equipped with Numark's proprietary Anti-Shock buffered skip protection technology to keep the music playing till the wee hours of the morning or until the party stops even in the midst of vibrations that cause conventional CD players to skip. This unit is built with a rugged exterior and a large scratch wheel for comfortable performance.

The NDX400 is a scratch CD/MP3 hybrid tabletop player. Besides spinning and reading CDs, the NDX400 is capable of reading MP3 files from a USB disk. It also has the same Anti-Shock buffered skip protection that Numark CD players are usually equipped with. For easy navigation, the NDX400 is also equipped with an easy-to-read display. Similar to the NDX200 it also has that rugged construction and a large scratch wheel for performance that old and new DJs will both find familiar to work with.
