Numerical Sound Small Ensemble Reverb And Timbral Impulses (SERTI): New For Vienna Suite Convolution Reverb
For the Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL) Vienna Suite Convolution Reverb, Numerical Sound has released Small Ensemble Reverb & Timbral Impulses (SERTI). Like the recently released FORTI, SERTI is an impulse library designed to add new content and tools to VSL's Reverb and Vienna Instruments String Collections.
SERTI boasts 380 impulses and a rather small size of 70 MB. A notable feature of this library is the impulse-based Compartmentalized Reverb Collection, which adds recording spaces, venues, and custom impulses to the Violin and Viola sections in several Vienna Instruments String Collections.
You'll also get 30 Harmonic Emphasis Timbral Impulses (TIs) in 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz quality that bring out violin and viola tones by emphasizing the harmonics over the bowing noise. These TIs are custom-made for Vienna Instruments Orchestral, Chamber, Solo and Appassionata Strings.
Acoustic reverb tails (RIs) and early reflections (ERs) add clarity and warmth to your Vienna strings, and are available in the following spaces: Small Room, Salon, Medium Sound Stage, Small and Large Recording Studio, Recital, Theatre, and Club. You can mix and match different ERs and RIs for 2,190 possible reverb combinations. In addition, SERTI includes 210 Transparent Immediate Listener Targeting (TILT) Filters, which reduce “sample transient clarity” and in turn make digital pieces sound more acoustic.
In sum, SERTI takes your VSL small string ensembles, plays them in fresh recording spaces and venues, and makes them sound more present and realistic. SERTI works in conjunction with Vienna Suite Convolution Reverb and Vienna Instruments Orchestral, Chamber, Solo, and Appassionata Strings.
