Omar Hakim is not a man who shies away from technology. He's an accomplished session drummer and an amazing player on an acoustic kit, but Hakim has also made a name for himself embracing new drumming technology, including the Roland V-Drums.

It makes sense, then, that as a producer, Omar Hakim continues to readily embrace the new, whether that be MIDI, ADAT, or Pro Tools. We caught up with Omar at the 127th AES Show in New York and talked a little about his history as a producer and the various incarnations of his home studio.
