Ooh La La Brown Sound: Not What You Think At Summer NAMM 2008
When Eddie Van Halen first invented the Brown Sound, his intention was only to be able to make people literally soil themselves with his guitar. Luckily, the Brown Sound pedal by Ooh La La has purer intentions in mind. The Brown Sound seeks that Hendrixian crunch, gritty yet transparent. We check it out at Summer NAMM 2008.

OOH LA LA REPRESENTATIVE: We’re here to talk to you about the Brown Sound pedal. It’s a classic rock distortion pedal reminiscent of the early ‘70s -- late -- in the mid-‘70s classic distortion sounds. We’ve got a lot of harmonic content, a lot of drive, very transparent sounding, does not mess with the original sound of the guitar, true bypass. Built like a tank, you can’t kill it. We’ve been building these things for 15 years and only had one returned [LAUGHING]. They’re just a really tough, high quality pedal.
