Orange Amps Dual Terror: Twice The Terror Like Dracula And A Mirror!

February 02, 2009
Orange Dual Terror

More frightening than some kind of snake-spider hybrid or freefalling into the dark, Orance introduces the Dual Terror. After the success of the Tiny Terror, which sold over 30,000 units and became the target of the largest high society amp heist in recent years, Orange decided it was time to double the pleasure and double the fun by doubling the channels and the wattage.

The concept behind the originator was to juice out as much Class A tube tone into a compact amp that weighs a few kilos, which is about the same as a few kilos of cocaine would weigh. In fact, when I used to sell cocaine, I used to weigh it out on one of those big, old-timey medical scales using Tiny Terrors as counterweights.

The Orange Dual Terror is a dual channel amplifier head that maxes at 30 watts. It can be switched down to 15 or seven if you have lame neighbors or whatever. The first channel stays true to the single channel Tiny Terror's lone channel, and it makes room for a new "Fat Channel" for a little more meat on them tones.
