Snare drums have always been an important part of most percussion music traditions, a fact that is exemplified in the marching band. Get rid of the snare line and you render a marching band as an almost futile unit. Giving reverence to the importance of the snare drum, Organic Custom Drums will be debuting new snare drum models at the Southern Drum Show and Snare Drum Olympics.

The all-new "Zebra" drum is Organic Custom Drums' official entry to the Snare Drum Olympics. Having a singly-ply, steam bent Zebrano wood shell with a 45-degree bearing edge and a hand-crafted maple center ring with an outer ply of Zebrano wood, the new "Zebra" drum is expected to give off that organic sound representative of the namesake company who made it. Also featured in the Zebra are custom steel tube lugs in alternating black and white finishes, Trick GS007 throwoff, black nickel die cast hoops, and Organic Custom Drums' patent pending Dual Floating Shell design to complete that sound which has become the hallmark of Organic Custom Drums.

Organic Custom Drums will also showcase other models during the Southern Drum Show. Examples of which are Hybrid models such as those with combination aluminum/maple and brass/walnut configurations, mixed wood models that feature birch and maple shells, as well as solid-shell and ply-shell combinations for that diversity of sound. All of these drums will exhibit the Dual Floating Shell design that makes Organic Custom Drums distinctive.

Majority of the drums that will be exhibited at the Southern Drum Show will be available for sale at special show prices (TBA). Getting into the summer heat wave of promos, Organic Custom Drums will also give away a free 6-ply maple drum shell and an Organic Custom Drums t-shirt for every purchase.
