Nintendo Wiimote: Paul Lehrman Wants YOU To Embrace Alternative Performance Controllers
December 08, 2009
It's the flip-side of chiptune: instead of using a modified MIDI controller to trigger the lo-fi chipsets on your old NES, why not get a Nintendo Wii controller to control your hi-fi MIDI sound modules? The Wiimote is a truly ingenious controller design, and Paul Lehrman wants you to know that the less-tech-savvy among us can still take advantage of its 3D acceleration and position sensing abilities.
The secret lies in the Wiimote's use of the relatively standard Bluetooth protocol, which Paul Lehrman says makes this white wand easy to integrate into any setup. Of course, a little Max/MSP knowledge goes a long way here as well. . .
