PC Audio Labs Debuts Eclipse 17TB Storage Server

September 06, 2007
PC Audio Labs Eclipse

Coming in from the leading edge of high-capacity storage servers for audio is PC Audio Labs' Eclipse, a 17-terabyte monster designed with high-resolution tracking and heavy sample access in mind. The unit also delivers the benefits of centralizing storage needs for a variety of DAWs and editing boxes. It may be tough to keep in mind, but this too shall pass; in less than five years 17TB will look as quaint as 17GB looks today. From PC Audio Labs:

PCAudioLabs now offer the most complete solution available to date – the Eclipse server solution. Eclipse is an AMD-based dual processor system featuring 14 Terabytes of storage housed in a 3U rack using Windows XP x64 software. As hardcore as the idea of having 14 TB of storage sounds, we know you'll always need more – so every drive bay in Eclipse is removable, allowing you to change drives quickly and easily for different projects.
