Today's computers have become powerful enough that most musicians nowadays have the option of building their own recording studios right at home. In fact, these computers are so powerful that they rival the quality of even the best professional recording studios. This fact is recognized well by professional recording studios hence they themselves now abound with these types of computers to provide their services. While there are many components to choose from in designing your own computer, not all musicians have that edge and would like to just get one right out of the box and ready to receive our various pieces of equipment. Out of the box comes PCAudioLabs Rok Box 64, the latest audio computer specifically designed for the recording musician.

Most computers possess that bulky tower casing that's really incompatible with most rack-based rigs. The Rok Box 64 has that rack-mount design that would fit right in with all of your rack-mount hardware, saving you some precious studio space. At the heart of the Rok Box 64 is the new Intel Core i7 Quad Core (with Hyperthreading) 2.93 Ghz processor with 8 GB of DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM. Given that the Rok Box also utilizes the Intel QuickPath Interconnect technology along with its already powerful processor and hefty RAM, working with loads and loads of virtual instruments and plugins is easy, seamless, and virtually latency free. Video related projects can be handled with ease via its Dual Head ATI Radeon HD4350 Graphics Card with 1024MB of video memory. Storage for all of your programs and projects is no problem at all as this box comes with three SATA2 hard drives, a 160-GB drive ideal as a system drive and two 1-TB drives for impressive storage of project files. Putting that new composition right away on CD or DVD can be handled by the 20x DVD Dual Layer Burner with LightScribe.

A wealth of expansion options await the recipient of a Rok Box 64. All of your interfaces, controllers, upgrade cards, and other items can be connected via 10 USB 2.0 ports (2 front, 8 rear), 2 FireWire 400 ports (1 front, 1 rear), 2 PCI slots, 5 PCIe slots, 2 network ports, and 8 SATA2 ports. A standard QWERTY keyboard, mouse, 750W quiet power supply, and Nero 8 Essentials for creating CDs and DVDs are also included in the package. PCAudioLabs Rok Box 64 costs 2,999.00 USD.
