Pearl Throne Thumper: Feel The Beat

May 23, 2011
Pearl announced the Throne Thumper, a drum attachment that attaches to any throne and vibrates in sync with the drum kit.

If you play drums the way you play video games, and you like your controller to shake and vibrate as you go, you will like the new Throne Thumper from Pearl Drums.

The Throne Thumper (THMP-1) attaches to any drum throne and vibrates in sync with the low end of your drum kit as you play. This accessory gives new meaning to the phrase 'shake, rattle, and roll.'

In making the Throne Thumper, Pearl partnered with ButtKicker to develop the "ultimate low-end feel machine." Powered by an included 200W amp, the Throne Thumper enables your throne to vibrate in perfect sync with all the "low-end thunder" your kit puts out as you play. Compatible with any electronic drumset or miked acoustic set, the Throne Thumper is ideal for any drummer who really wants to feel the drums as they play, or anyone who needs a little help "vibing" the beat in a live show environment where it can be difficult to hear other musicians. According to the manufacturer, music grooves harder when you can feel your drums with the Pearl Throne Thumper. Other things might groove harder too, but we won't go there.

The Throne Thumper is featured as part of the new Pearl Emersion pack. Coupled with the PDM-250 Precision Drum Monitors, the Emersion pack is, according to Pearl, designed for you to feel and hear your drums like never before. The Emersion pack comes Free with any purchase of an e-PRO LIVE kit, though individual components of the Emersion Pack are also sold separately.

Pearl's Throne Thumper (THMP-1) is priced at $499 (MSRP), and Precision Drum Monitors (PDM-250) cost $299 (MSRP).
