Peavey 5150 Enters The Gearwire Gallery
September 30, 2008
So, I'm a little confused. The Peavey 5150 is supposed to be an EVH signature amp, yet the guy repping for it is wearing all flannel? Not to knock flannel. I mean everyone from Eddie Vedder to Neil Young was donning sleeveless work wear in 1993. It does seem like a bit of a marketing misfire, though. Note that since then, this amp has gone on to have a solid reputation, of course now being named the 6505*.
*Which, as far as I can tell, is a not a numerical reference to anything remotely significant. Correct me if I'm wrong. The six might be a reference to the 4 6L6GC tubes contained within.
