Peavey HP Single Cut Series Guitars Launch With HP SC-1, HP SC-2, And HP SC-3
Yet another new Peavey series has debuted -- the Peavey HP Single Cut Series of single-cut guitars that are said to combine classic tones and style with modern playability.
Three models are included: the HP SC-1 ($249.99 MSRP) and HP SC-2 (shown on left; $299.99 MSRP) two-pickup guitars, and the the HP SC-3 ($499.99 MSRP) three-pickup guitar. In addition to the three-way toggle switch included on all HP Single Cut models, the HP SC-3 has a pull pot that switches the middle pickup on and off. All HP Single Cut guitars feature treble-compensated volume controls that enhance pickup clarity at low volume levels.
HP Single Cut guitars are made from basswood with an integral center body section, carved top, and a deep lower cutaway with scoop for extended access to the upper register. The HP SC-3 and HP SC-2 feature a set hard rock maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, while the HP SC-1 has the same D-shaped neck but with a four-bolt attachment that includes a steel plate for max body-to-neck contact.
The HP SC-3 is available in gloss black and gloss white, with gold hardware and block pearloid fret inlays. The HP SC-2 and HP SC-1, on the other hand, can be had in gloss black, cherry burst, and vintage tobacco burst finishes, with chrome hardware and standard dot inlays. All three models use die-cast tuners with a 15:1 gear ratio.
Peavey will begin shipping the HP SC-1, HP SC-2, and HP SC-3 guitars in this first quarter of 2010. For more details, visit the Peavey Web site.

Peavey SC-2
Awesome guitar. Sweet fit, finish and function. Flawless in manufacture and exceptional electronics as expected from Peavey. Great sound and looks. I'm more than pleased with my purchase, and I am very picky. I did adjust the intonation and action, and I'm as happy as a clam.
Don't hesitate a minute to buy this guitar. It is a great deal and such a low price.
