In a press announcement released today, Muse Research and Peavey Electronics announced a long-term, collaborative development effort, as well as their first new product. Accord to the announcement:

"By utilizing each company’s core competencies, the companies will bring to market innovative new products beginning with the new uniquely flexible MuseBox™ Musical Instrument and Effects Box."

. . . which is interesting, not only because of the collaboration, but because the MuseBox was announced and "previewed" at Winter NAMM 2009, then sorta fell off the map. At any rate, it seems to be back. Perhaps it'll be a Peavey ReValver in hardware form to compete with the recently releases DigiDesign Eleven Rack.

Muse / Peavey will be hosting a Press Conference where they promise to unveil the "new" MuseBox at NAMM on January 14th. We'll be there to cover it.
