Peavey Single-Cut PXD Odyssey I And II: New Electric Guitars Announced
PXD Series guitars and Peavey's Odyssey I and Odyssey II guitars have come together to form a new breed of extreme electric guitar.
The new Peavey PXD Odyssey I and II are single-cut guitars that were designed to capture the aggression and attitude of today's metal players. The PXD Odyssey II ($799.99 MSRP) features EMG 60 and 81 pickups with the EMG-AB Afterburner tone circuit, which boosts input gain up to 20 dB for huge amounts of saturation. What's more, the II is outfitted with a mahogany body and a set mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard.
Similarly, the PXD Odyssey I ($499.99 MSRP) offers two high-output Peavey VFL active pickups on a basswood body, with a set mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard.
Both PXD Odyssey guitars have adjustable bridges with a string-through-body design, a 24.75-inch scale, and 24 frets. They're available in matte black with a brushed aluminum-finish pickguard, and either gloss black, gloss white, or gloss red finishes. A specially designed coffin case is included with both electric guitars.
Peavey will be shipping the PXD Odyssey I and II guitars later on in this first quarter of 2010. For more details, visit peavey.com.
