Peavey PXD Vicious I And Peavey PXD Vicious II: Electric Guitars Made For Metal
Get extreme, real extreme, with the new Peavey PXD Vicious I ($499.99 MSRP) and Peavey PXD Vicious II ($799.99 MSRP) electric guitars, which sport pure aggression, the attitude of modern metal players, and "supercharged active pickups coupled to menacing slabs of tone-sustaining mahogany." Both guitars complement the Peavey 6505 Series guitar amplifiers, or any other flesh-shredding amp.
The six-string PXD Vicious II has a 24.75-inch scale and 24 frets, along with EMG 60 and 81 pickups, and controls with three-way toggle switch for Volume and Afterburner. What's more, this electric guitar has a set mahogany neck and body, an adjustable bridge with string-through design, and a rosewood fretboard. The PXD Vicious I has the same features as the II, with one exception: the PXD Vicious I sports two Peavey VFL active pickups instead of EMG 60 and 81 pickups.
Both are available in four colors (Matte Black, Gloss black, Gloss red, or Gloss white) and the Matte black model features a brushed aluminum finish pickguard. To make this metal experience complete, Peavey is including a Coffin Case with each guitar.
Peavey will begin shipping its PXD Vicious Series in the first quarter of 2010.
