Peavey Revalver MK III.V Amplifier Modeling Software Intro'd At NAMM

January 25, 2010
Peavey Electronics ReValver MK III.V amplifier modeling software includes nine amplifier and effects models and much more.

Amplifier modeling software is back and revalved for 2010 -- Peavey Electronics has introduced ReValver MK III.V software, which includes nine new amplifier and effects models. MK III.V also captures the characteristics of vacuum tubes and gives you total control over tonality and gain structures.

ReValver MK III.V features amp models like the Peavey 3120, Peavey Masterpiece, Peavey Sensation, Budda Superdrive II, and Budda Superdrive V Series, along with new ones like the classic Peavey VCL-2 tube compressor and the Budda Budwah expression pedal. Also available are all of the the amp and effects models included in the former ReValver MK III.

MK III.V has an intuitive user interface with drag-and-drop capability, which allows you to easily add and subtract individual components and devices such as amplifiers, preamps, power amps, stompboxes, and effects.

What's more, you can take a personal tour of each amp model by right-clicking it. Doing so lets you "go inside" and adjust the amp's tones and components on the Tweak Module GUI and in turn, change, add, or subtract tubes on all amplifier models, and calibrate the voltage parameters of those tubes. More than 15 elements and functions on each tube stage can be altered. You can also modify power amp rectifiers, output transformers, and tone stacks.

Its stompbox and effects section includes various types of chorus, distortion, wah, tremolo, compression, limiter, delay, octaver, and much more. An FFT-based convolution reverb provides complex and smooth reverbs and allows you to import your own WAV samples, while the VST Host module lets you load 3rd-party VSTs for use within ReValver.
