Peavey Transtube Special 212 Combo Amplifier Announced
With TransTube technology onboard, the new Peavey TransTube Special 212 combo guitar amplifier is able to offer realistic tube emulation in a very special design.
According to the manufacturer, TransTube circuitry is still the pinnacle of tube emulation technology, powering the screaming distortion of Peavey's Vypyr line of modeling amplifiers, as well as the new addition to the TransTube line, the Peavey Special 212.
Joining the TransTube Series of solid-state guitar amplifiers, the Special 212 combo features an all-new 100W TransTube output power section, Clean and Lead channels, onboard reverb and analog chorus, effects loop, a 2 x 12 Peavey Blue Marvel loudspeakers, and more.
The Special 212 guitar amp has two channels -- a Clean channel with 3-band EQ plus Presence control, and a Lead channel with 3-band EQ and gain control with footswitchable boost, plus mid scoop, and master volume. The Special 212 also features analog chorus with depth and rate controls and versatile spring reverb, along with a footswitch jack for global effects defeat, boost, and channel switching. Peavey notes that the Special 212 is a must-have amplifier.
