Peavey Vypyr Guitar Combo: Owen Begins The Quest
March 26, 2009
Owen actually has a cot set up in the Gearwire studio, and after making a pancake brunch the other morning, he decided to spend an intimate afternoon with the Peavey Vypyr Guitar Combo.
In this first demo, we listen to some of the sweet effects and amp emulations, and start a stalwart journey through the entire front panel. Stay tuned for Part Deux, where Owen completes the front panel, and shows us how to make Gorgonzola stuffed French Toast.

This or the Vox VT30?
Thanks for the review. Since you also reviewed the Vox VT30, which do you like more? Or in this category do you prefer something different altogether? I'm sure it's an "it depends" answer, but would love to hear your comments.
Tough choice.
There's both pretty great. I think the VT30 has some better octave tracking, and some of the clean and midly-overdriven tones sounded maybe a bit fuller on the VT30, but if thick overdrive is your thing, the vypr is the way to go. plus their blue marvel speakers are super-punchy. Oh, and the looper. . . the vypyr might have it over the VT30.
tube vypyr
clean sounds are really improved on the tube vypyr. . . we'll post those next week.
Tube Vypyr
Any news on when the video about the Tube 60 will be going up?
Thanks.
Soon.
I had to re-shoot a portion of it. You'll see it this week fer sher.
