We have developed somewhat of an unhealthy obsession with Percussa's AudioCubes, paying close attention to any news crumbs the Belgian-based company is willing to toss our way. At MusikMesse, they'll be demonstrating their Percussa Audio Cubes with Propellerheads Reason.

At Winter NAMM 2008, if you remember, Percussa was demonstrating the Cubes with Ableton Live 7. Why the switch? One can only speculate that because of the close proximity of the Percussa booth to the Propellerheads booth that a new relationship bloomed.

Using reason [the philosophical concept rather than the software], it becomes more clear to see that this is to show off their new and improved Midi Bridge software and increased compatibility with one of the most popular software synthesizers around.

The improvements made to the Percussa Midi Bridge software utilizes a new remote codec that helps the AudioCubes performance with Reason 4. Other improvements across the board include sensor scaling, inversion and a new preset system.
