Peterson Stroborack Metes Out Perfectly-Pitched Justice
In a dystopian future, a beat cop blessed with perfect pitch is gunned down in the line of duty, but thanks to a new cybernetics program initiated by a corrupt, corporate-controlled government body, that mellifluous officers unique crime fighting and pitch-sensing skills were resurrected and preserved in an indestructible, unprecedented and unstoppable tuning machine: meet Stroborack.
CHRIS: What’s up? My name is Chris. I’m from Peterson Strobe Tuners, and I wanted to show you the newest virtual strobe tuner, the Stroborack. This takes our same virtual strobe technology and it puts it in a 19-inch rack. It’s a horizontal 8-inch strobe display. It’s got a ton of great features. She comes -- It ships with your standard I/O but also has the ability to upgrade so that you can make use of balanced inputs, outputs, stereo inputs, outputs. You got your TRS or XLR input. You got a separate DI circuit in the back of this as well that makes it great for permanent installs and racks or in the studio or if you want to hard wire some of this stuff with balanced signal and never take it out of the chain.
There’s this ton of standard tunings in it as well as over 32, 33 sweeteners which are alternate tunings that let you count for the logistics and inherent problems with tuning guitars, different instruments like steel guitar.
PETERSON STROBE TUNERS REPRESENTATIVE: Well, the Peterson Stroborack is the first tuner to offer balanced stereo and mono inputs and outputs. It’s got some neat features like when you’re not tuning, it displays your name, your web site, your band name, whatever you want on the screen. Since you’re back’s turned to it, it might as well be working for you instead of, you know, distracting the audience. So, you can use it for normal guitars, for bass, for acoustic guitar, hybrid guitar, anything with a balanced output as I said. It’s got a light on the back of it. Since most things already have lights on the front, we figured the back of the rack, you always need some light in there to work on, you know, hooking up things.
It’s got 1/10 of a cent accuracy. It’s the most accurate rack tuner on the market. It can do the Buzz Feiten system, intonation settings for the Buzz Feiten system as well, and a host of sweetened tunings which the Peterson tuners have become known for, covering everything from Dobros, steel guitar, baritone guitar, again acoustic 12-string, all optimized tunings to make the instrument sound sweeter. It’s a unique feature with Peterson tuners we’ve been developing over the last 10 or 20 years.
