Pioneer Limited Edition CDJ-400-K And Pioneer DJM-400-K Are The Black Spinoffs Of The Same Gear
DJs can now get the same Pioneer gear in a stylish black finish. Pioneer Electronics is offering the CDJ-400-K ($910 MSRP) digital turntable and the DJM-400-K ($805) channel mixer in a limited edition black color version. The limited editions of the DJ gear are black on black for a sleek, lustrous appearance, perfect for blending into the shadows of a dark club venue. Going along with the night vision theme, the units also have a blue illumination scheme rather than the signature red.
Both models offer the same features as the original versions. For example, the CDJ-400-K has USB integration and MP3 playback, MIDI support, scratching capability, scratch jog effect, and a variety of looping functions. The DJM-400-K offers professional sound reproduction with 24-bit, 96 kHz sampling, a plethora of beat effects that can be synchronized, and three-band EQ for adjusting audio for each channel. In short, what you're really paying for here is the black housing and blue lights. We're guessing that the limited edition models are simply a clever way for Pioneer to use up a short order of metalwork and LEDs.
Pioneer expects to release the CDJ-400-K and the DJM-400-K in December, 2009.
