Peace Love Productions Glitch FM: The Predecessor To Son Of A Glitch
Peace Love Productions (PLP) has just released Glitch FM, an FM synthesis loop and sample collection that emphasizes FM synthesis generated “computerized” and “robotic” sounds and rhythms. The collection contains 400 loops and 60 drum one-shots features glitch-like, futuristic sounds with sound folders being categorized into names such as Ambient Beds, Drones, Glitch Beats, Lo-Fi Glitch Beats, Basses and Master Blasters. With this collection of beeps, pops, synth sounds and Lo-Fi rings, you'll be able to do a range of stuff from grooving like the Beastie Boys to doing serious work like Iannis Xenakis.
All of the loops and samples have been recorded at 100 BPM, 24-bit / 44.1 kHz stereo. Inspired by the sound of Warp Records, PLP used synthesis methods such as FM, FFT, additive / subtractive synthesis and their home brewed DSP techniques to create this collection. This library is available in Apple AIFF, Acidized WAV, and Recycle Rx2 formats, making Glitch FM the ideal solution for your glitch sound needs.
Producers and musicians can use the collection to create something new or add that “glitch” to their existing sounds. The total of 400 loops can be utilized to create sequences and songs using your audio sequencer, and each of the 60 drum one-shots can be utilized using a step sequencer as well for your own custom drum patterns. If you’re into Glitch Hop, Ambient, Experimental, Minimal, Microsound, Industrial, Electronica, or would like to make a pseudo-impression of the spaceship’s computer in the third impression of Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s Karn Evil 9, then this is an ideal add-on to your existing arsenal.
Need a lot more than this to be convinced? Check out the web page for Glitch FM at PLP's official website (linked below), and hear the sounds for yourself. Not only do you get to hear the sounds, you get to try them out by downloading their Glitch FM free pack.
The entire collection is available as a download for $29.95. If you’re still reading this, you’d better go grab yourself a copy of Glitch FM and get glitched out.
