PreSonus FaderPort Firmware Version 1.3.5 Adds Snow Leopard Support
Mac users, particularly those who updated to their operating systems to Snow Leopard, will benefit from the updated Presonus Faderport firmware that was released today. FaderPort firmware version 1.3.5 adds support for Apple Logic 9 and Steinberg Cubase 5, and provides Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) support for all music-production applications that were compatible with the FaderPort under Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), such as Ableton Live, Digidesign Pro Tools, and MOTU Digital Performer.
What is a FaderPort, you ask? It's a USB DAW controller with a motorized, touch-sensitive, 100 mm Alps fader and complete transport controls. You can use the controller to record fades and write volume, mute, and pan automation; Furthermore, you can select windows; manage markers; and control Solo, Record Enable, Play, Stop, and Record. If you have good hand / foot coordination, you can use the included footswitch jack for hands-free punch-in / out recording.
