Pro Co Rat Fulltone Ultimate Octave

If you're wondering what an effects rig look like for a cello player, Alison Chesley (also known as Helen Money) will show you. If you're a guitarist suffering from stompbox envy, more commonly known as SE, you might want to stay away from this video.

Of note are her Pro Co Rat distortion pedal -- the first effect she ever bought for cello and the Fulltone Ultimate Octave because it sounds fantastic with the cello.

Clients' academic satisfaction is the main aim of the term paper writing service. But, very often people never guess just about consequences and begin to write their research papers themselves. Thence, they are risking spoiling their degree programs. Think very well what you are going to do to do that right.

[ALISON CHESLEY PERFORMING]

ALISON CHESLEY: I think the first pedal I got was a RAT. It’s just a really basic distortion pedal, solid state sounding. The RAT is basically just overdrive, so.

[ALISON CHESLEY PLAYING CELLO THROUGH THE PRO CO RAT]

It’s not very beefy-sounding. But it cuts through really well. And then the second pedal I got was this Boss delay pedal. And those two pedals I just had forever. And they’re probably -- my delay pedal IS probably my, the one I use the most. I probably overuse it. I’m sure I do. But it just sounds really nice with the Cello.

[ALISON CHESLEY PLAYS CELLO THROUGH A BOSS DELAY PEDAL]

It’s kind of got a nice, really beautiful sound.

[ALISON CHESLEY PLAYS CELLO THROUGH A PRO CO RAT AND BOSS DELAY PEDAL]

It adds a really nice rhythmic element. It just varies the sound a little bit.

There a couple of pedals I use that I don’t use anymore that weren’t so successful. There’s an envelope filter I used for one, on one song that in my old band I would play on and that’s the only song I used it on. And it was a DOD pedal and I went through like five of those things. So, now these pedals are Boss pedals, the delay and the harmonizer and my loop stations and I really love them. I think they’re great. The Boss pedals I feel like they’re really reliable. They’re not going to break down on me. They never have, you know. So I -- there’s something about them that sounds really good to me.

The next pedal I got that I really liked is this distortion, this Ultimate Octave pedal because it’s really fat.

And it has all these different harmonies in it. So it just makes the cello sound really rich and fat. I love it. [LAUGHING]
