Propellerhead Folk Rock Brushes, Propellerhead Dry Indie: Multitrack Live Drums For Record
Joining the Propellerhead Software Record Drum Takes ReFill series, Folk Rock Brushes and Dry Indie expand Record's current sound offerings with extra multitrack live drums.
Folk Rock Brushes and Dry Indie are volumes 4 and 5 of the series of rock and pop multitrack drums played by skilled session drummers. According to the manufacturer, titles in the Record Drum Takes series build a steady foundation for any rock or pop creation. Each Drum Take ReFill comes with two separate three-minute backing tracks of live drumming organized in classic song form with intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and breakdown.
Vol. 4 Folk Rock Brushes comes with two complete folk rock-sounding drum backing tracks (Pite and Simris) played with brushes with plenty of warmth and character. The track Pite plays along at a relaxed 80 BPM, while Simris plays at a jaunty 120 BPM.
The next new release, Vol. 5 Dry Indie, offers two tracks (Emmaboda and Lund) simmering in 1970s production aesthetics. Propellerhead notes that their dry sound and tight playing style make these drums perfect for songs in a wide range of Indie related styles. Emmaboda plays at 90 BPM, while Lund plays in 6/8 time at 85 BPM.
Record Drum Takes (RDT) arrives in Record song format, with multitrack arrangements containing traditional song parts followed by a host of fills and variations. You can play along to the RDT drum arrangements, or simply paste them into your existing song; your entire drum mix will follow right along, and utilizing Record's auto-stretch function, Drum Takes will instantly adapt to your song's tempo.
Since the tracks come as multitrack recordings, you are free to shape the drum sounds by adjusting the levels of the independent kick, snare, hi-hat, room, ambient, and other microphones. You can cut across all eight drum tracks to arrange and rearrange once the drum sound has been mixed; play along with the drum arrangements; paste them into an existing song; and more. Also included with the ReFills are multisampled versions of the kits.
Each Record Drum Takes ReFill is available from Propellerhead's Web Shop for $29 each. To learn more about Folk Rock Brushes and Dry Indie, visit Propellerhead Software's Web site at propellerheads.se.
