Propellerhead DAW Rumor Spreading Like Any One Of A Number Of Flu Strains
Lovers of Reason -- both the kind championed by Aristotle and BT -- have had one, persistent gripe about Propellerhead's flagship software, Reason: it doesn't record audio. That, more or less, may change.
Reported VIA FutureMusic.com, the upcoming Propellerhead Producers Conference on May 9th will serve to unveil a new digital audio workstation product from the Swedish company. As FM reported and credits their "sources in Sweden":
"This will not be an update to Reason, which will retain its own product category, but will be a new standalone product that will have full-on audio recording capabilities."
Whatever form it takes, we're excited to see if a DAW made by Propellerhead is as stable a production platform as Reason has been, what it looks like, why plugin support it will offer, how soon it'll be available. . . but for that information we'll have to wait for the conference, it seems. There's absolutely nothing about it on Propellerhead's website.
The Propellerhead Producers Conference is open to the public, and is a chance to hear how professional producers use and Reason its related software to create mega-hits. The conference will be taking place simultaneously (basically) in five cities across the globe, in LA, NYC, Guildford, Berlin, and Stockholm.
