Have you ever written a press release that started off with the following paragraph?

"Have you ever wondered what the bass sound in that track was? How they made the harp glissandos in that movie, the shimmering strings in that commercial, or why the snare in that track sounds so familiar? Propellerhead did and asked artists the question: "What's in your Reason Rack?""

Propellerhead did, and now they've posted the response to the aforementioned question posed in the aforeposted press rel;ease copy on their website and called it the Propellerhead Artist Patch Chart. Which is sort of a weird name, being that there's no chart of any kind involved in the new website feature.

Still, it is a neat marketing gimmick for both Propellerhead and some of the artists, about the majority of whom I'd otherwise be ignorant about (Nat Motte from 3OH!3, how YOU doin'?). Artists you've definitely heard of include Steven Drozd from The Flaming Lips and, umm. . . Cobra Starship.
