Pro Tone Pedals Ram Skull Fuzz Aims To Recreate Rams Head Big Muff
May 21, 2008
Pro Tone Pedals dusts off a little bit of pedal history with the release of Ram Skull Fuzz. It's not just based off of the Big Muff Pi, it's based off of a specific version of the Big Muff Pi -- the Ram's Head Big Muff.
This particular Big Muff is the fuzz pedal that David Gilmour used from the late seventies through the eighties, notably while touring for The Wall. However, if you're looking for a Ram's Head Big Muff, good luck. They're not exactly abundant and not exactly inexpensive. Thus, Pro Tone wants to convince you that their Ram Skull Fuzz will do the trick if that's the tone you're looking for.
Features include:
- Sustain, Tone, and Volume controls
- Operates on a standard 9v battery or BOSS style adapter (negative tip)
- True Hardwire Bypass for noise free operation
- Stomp switch built to withstand years of hard stomping shows
- Durable aluminum housing
- Super-Bright LED for easy onstage identification
