PAUL REED SMITH GUITARS REPRESENTATIVE: Hi. This is the 1980 West Street Limited. The wood is Sapele which looks like Mahogany but you see it’s highly figured here, looks almost like a quilt. This is made in the style of the 1980’s guitars, the original PRSs. Here you see the salamander inlays, unplated bridges like they did in the ‘80s.
Moving on this way, we have the 513. Originally, we made the 513 with a Rosewood neck. This one is a 513 Mahogany neck which has enabled us to bring down the cost dramatically. This guitar has five bobbins, 13 sounds, and it has a five-way switch like you would normally see with the three-pick-up configuration except you have a three-way mode switch. The 3-way mode switch went up as single coil, single coil, single coil. In the middle it’s medium-powered humbucker, single coil, medium powered humbucker. It’s super-powered humbucker, single coil, super-powered humbucker. It’s 5 bobbins, 13 sounds.
Here we have the SC-245. We’ve been making single cuts in the 25” scale. This year we’ve released a short scale version and a 24-1/2” scale. The difference being that when you’re on the shorter scale length that the strings can vibrate more and it has a different harmonic timbre to the strings.
Here once again is the 1980 West Street Limited like we’ve talked before. This year we’re introducing the Chris Henderson signature model, which is a single cut with the three humbuckers. Chris had originally requested us to make this guitar, and we’re so honored to have him. He is the guitar player from Three Doors Down and we’re so honored to have him be a part of what we do. We’ve made the signature model in his name.
Here we have the Gold Top Singlecut 245. Same features as the 245 over here.
We have the new revised Mark Tremonti, the signature model. It’s very similar to his signature model he had before except that he prefers the trem now with its trem up routing so you can trem up or down, and he wanted to move the signature name plate. It used to be on the inlay but Mark wanted a whole lot of his artist friends to use the guitar and a lot of artists would not want to have another artist’s name on it so we’ve revised the model.
The 513 once again.
And SC-250 which is -- replaced the regular singlecut, which is actually very inspired by Mark’s original model.

Smith's early hand-made
Smith's early hand-made guitars were invariably all mahogany where the sumptuous 'curly' or figured maple tops didn't become a feature until 1980 when Paul used the curly maple drawer fronts of a friend's dresser to create his first maple top guitar, long-owned by Heart's Howard Leese.
Smith's original guitars
Smith's original guitars obviously have a hand-made vibe and the most fundamental difference here is that the West Street doesn't look or feel handmade. Instead it's built to the near perfect standards that we've become accustomed to from PRS.
These new models are so
