As the manufacturer notes, PRS Amp Designer Doug Sewell spearheaded this project and worked with the company’s amp team to design and build a hand-wired prototype with high-end components. Using this as the tonal and functional quality baseline for this project, the team then worked with expert consultants to develop the final family of SE amps. According to Sewell and PRS, this endeavor succeeded in part by looking to the tried and true PRS SE guitar line model and finding a way to offer the same quality and versatility of the original units at a more accessible price.
