QESounds PianoFx Sample Library Features A Vintage Lester Cabinet Grand
A vintage, 1910s Lester Cabinet Grand piano was the sound source for the new QESounds sample library, PianoFx. The library's contents, which were recorded on a bare harp and soundboard, would be ideal for soundtrack design and film scoring.
PianoFx includes frame hits / knocks / thunks, string plucks, picks, harmonics, brush stabs, brush slaps, glisses, smears, line bowings, cello bow bowings, Ebow effects, string removal sounds, and much more, for use within Native Instruments Kontakt 2 and higher. It also comes with SoundTools and Virtual Layer Remapping scripting. Each of the atonal instruments has a separate group assigned to each sound, so that you can access and customize the internal controls.
Three versions of the library are available: PFX Pro, PFX_KG_DLV, and PFX_MSC_DLV.
PFX Pro ($99.95 introductory price, $119.95 regular) is a 24-bit, 44.1 kHz stereo version with the complete set of sounds on three DVDs (10 GB installed).
The PFX_KG_DLV ($24.95 introductory price, $34.95 regular) is a 16-bit, 44.1 kHz stereo version containing hits, knocks, glisses, and smears downloadable in three zip files (1.2 GB total download).
Lastly, PFX_MSC_DLV ($24.95 introductory price, $34.95 regular) is a 16-bit, 44.1 kHz stereo downloadable version with a few hits, glisses, and smears, with an emphasis on effects, such as stabs, slaps, string removal, and so forth. This version can be downloaded in three zip files (900 MB total download).
