QuikQuak is feeling generous this holiday season with the free release of UpStereo, a simple but useful tool to give your mixes more girth in terms of stereo width and loudness. It uses three basic systems:

The first system is a fixed frequency EQ that is designed to lift the highest audio frequency and boosts the bass.

Next, a stereo width unit expands stereo sounds to make them appear larger. When applied to the max on individual tracks, unheard tonal characteristics of each instrument become more audible.

Finally, a loudness button raises the waveform to its limits in a smooth curve. This saturation opens up more perceived loudness without clipping. The overall output is checked by an included gain control.
