This is a digital tanpura, which is a drone instrument that is used in classical Indian music to provide the sort of background humming sound that’s typical of Indian music. It’s very authentic, digitally sampled, you can change the key to the raag that you’re playing simply by pushing the button. It covers almost two octaves so it’s suitable for male or female vocalists to sing with. It’s good for practicing but designed for live performance with memory presets. You can adjust it for the intonation and rhythms typical between Northern Indian versus Southern Indian music.

We also have a product called the Digi-100 which is a digital tabla set which is the world’s first MIDI-compatible Indian instrument. So, it’s MIDI compatible. You can use it for live performance or for rehearsal. A drummer that has an electronic drum pad could trigger that on his set.
