Quasimidi Rave-O-Lution 309: Wet Cymbals May Look Cool When They Splash In Music Videos, But DJ Puzzle Dries His Off
Using the Quasimidi Rave-O-Lution 309, you're able to sequence and fine tune your drum beats very easily. DJ Puzzle shows you how to choose your drum sounds, edit their parameters, and even tune your digital kick. That's more than your drummer knows hot to do on his regular kick.
Check this video out to see exactly how quickly you could be making grooves if you had the Rave-O-Lution 309.

Select snare, drop my snare drum.

I don’t like that snare sound, so I’m going to scroll through and find something a little different. This allows you to select your different sounds that are within the category, so I’m scrolling through here and looking for. Let’s go with that.
Now for the hi-hats, select your hi-hat. Now, if you noticed on the screen here, closed hi-hat, and by using the jog wheel I can select open hi-hat. Let’s start with the closed hi-hat.

Jog wheel it to the open hi-hat.

What I’m going to do is scroll through the hi-hats. I really don’t think this is what I was looking for. This one isn’t bad.
[JASON DONNELLY PLAYING RECORDED DRUM GROOVE IN THE QUASIMIDI RAVE-O-LUTION 309]
I tend to like my sounds dry from the beginning, so I’m going to take the reverberation off of the snare and the hi-hats. Select, press your edit button, mix, and then scroll through effects send. So, it looks like we don’t have any on the snare but on the hi-hats we do. Effects send 1 63% here, let’s go fully dry.

The hi-hats are a little too loud for me, so here’s the hi-hat section. I’m going to go ahead and turn them down a little.

And maybe I’ll check out a few different kick drums as well. I might --

That one’s pretty cool.

You can tune your hi-hat, your kicks and your hi-hats, sorry. I’m tuning my kick right now, and I’m going to tune the hi-hats.
