Recording King ROS-06: 30's-Inspired Budget Guitar For A 30's-Inspired Economy
Do have the blues? Is it because you're broke? Then get your sorry mitts around the very affordable Recording King ROS-06 000-style acoustic and delta-pluck your blues away.
The ROS-06 is a handsome instrument that recalls simpler times, when Americans built massive shanty towns out of piano boxes and chicken wire. It sure was easy to play the blues back then. The new ROS-06 arrives not a moment to late, as it surely might once again be as it was, I reckon.
The ROS-06 takes a classic 000-style body and marries it with a solid Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck that joins the body at the 12th fret. The saddle and nut are both carved from real bone, and the press material from Recording King states that the pickguard and binding are "tortoise shell," though I find that hard to believe.
Amazingly, this guitar lists for only $329.99. It should be hitting stores before the fail of '09 is out. That's not a typo.

Man the chainsaws must be working
overtime up in Alaska to produce these cheap guitars....Racing to cut down the last Sitka!
Meanwhile at Gibson...
The new Gibson Custom Shop VOS Inspired By Owen O'Malley 000 Parlor Guitar is available for only $57,000 in a limited edition of 99.
!
Man, I wish I got a piece of those sales.
