Rees S3 Electric Guitar Allows For Tremendous Versatility
With so many guitars on the market, the Rees S3 Electric Guitar strives to be noticed by utilizing some unique new features. While some features suggest a distant relation to a Fender Stratocaster - including feel and a vague though not overpowering resemblance to the strat - the Rees S3 definitely carves its own identity.
The Rees S3 comes packed with Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pro pickups in the neck and middle position and a Seymour Duncan Twang Banger at the bridge to fatten up the tone slightly. A solid korina body also helps define the tone.
The most innovative features, however, are the S3 Bridge and the S3 Controls. The bridge is a heavyweight Kahler bridge, and a unique design allows for adjustment between floating and fixed bridge use at the turn of a hex key.
The five way pickup selector works similarly to a Strat's, but when you pull the tone knob, you get a very interesting combination. Doing so automatically activates the neck pickup for unique combinations of both the neck and bridge pickup as well as the simultaneous use of the neck, bridge, and middle pickup. Let's see a Fender do that!
