RJM RG-16

RJM Music Technologies, who brought you the Amp Gizmo, introduces the RG-16 MIDI-based control device for guitarists. The RG-16 consolidates all of your footswitches and effects pedals into a single MIDI footswitch connected to one rack mountable unit, saving players all of the fancy footwork.

The RG-16 provides guitarists with eight audio loops, eight function switches, and a high quality audio buffer. This allows guitarists a painless solution to controlling multiple amplifiers and effects units.

With a programmable interface that's a breeze to use, 256 programs can be stored in memory for an organized plethora of tone at your disposal. The RG-16 also phantom powers compatible MIDI devices with a standard 7-pin MIDI cable. RJM also can provide custom cables upon request that connect to a variety of different amps from Mesa Boogie, Bogner, Marshall, Fender, and more.

A detailed rundown of features shows:

  • Eight audio loops for effect switching (4 grouped together in series, 4 independent loops)
  • Eight function switches for amplifier control (channels, reverb, effect loops, etc.)
  • A high quality audio buffer is provided which can be placed anywhere in the audio path
  • Two 8 pin DIN jacks allow you to control a single amp, or two amps simultaneously
  • Response to both Program Change and Continuous Control messages
  • High quality relays are used for maximum sound quality, compatibility and reliability
  • Support for both latching and momentary switching
  • All jacks are electrically isolated where possible, preventing ground loops and allowing multiple amps to be controlled safely
